Daytona Beach in Florida is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the United States, and it's no wonder why. The wide, sandy beaches are perfect for sunbathing, swimming, surfing, fishing, and of course, riding ATVs.
Offering 23 miles of wide open beach with 11 miles open to motorized vehicles including ATVs. Visitors will be able to enjoy ATV riding but should stick to the speed limit of 10 mph along Daytona Beach in designated areas, tide permitting.
In Nags Head, driving on the beach is permitted from October 1 to April 30. Vehicles must have a current safety check, registration, insurance, and license plate. A beach driving permit is necessary and may be obtained at the town of Nags Head or Kill Devil Hills town hall or from area tackle shops.

ATV use is allowed on the North and South Core Banks within the boundaries of Cape Lookout National Seashore. However, The National Park Service has long established rules regarding the riding of ATVs on the islands.
Cape Lookout National Seashore only allows the use of ATVs as a means of reaching a camping spot, to go surf fishing or just to go shelling. Be reminded that this is not an "off-road park" and does not allow racing, jumping, fishtailing, doughnuts, and other extreme riding.
