The Doe Mountain Recreation Area is located in northeast Tennessee outside the small rural community of Mountain City. 

The wildlife region is 8300 acres and has 50 miles of blazed multi-use trails for all types of OHV vehicles including ATV/UTV and dirt bikes. 4×4’s are not allowed. Permits are required and can be purchased online at the Adventure Center, and at some of the local campgrounds.

Doe Mountain Recreation Area Map

Eleven million visitors make the Smoky Mountains their go to vacation destination every year.  Who can blame them with nearby Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and the Great Smoky Mountain National Park to visit.  If you are looking for ATV trails near Pigeon Forge, Tennessee check out Bluff Mountain Adventures.

Bluff Mountain Adventures is located in Pigeon Forge, TN and is a great place to start if you have never ridden an ATV, but would love to try it out.  Bluff Mountain Adventures is a guided ATV trail park in Pigeon Forge, TN.  These are guided trail rides only, but they offer some great views of the Smokies and an opportunity for inexperienced ATV riders to enjoy the trails of east Tennessee. If you are a more experienced ATV driver, there are also tours for you.

Brimstone Recreation, LLC in Huntsville, TN has become a nationally known ATV trail system in Tennessee.  Brimstone is located in Northeast Tennessee about 3 hours east of Nashville and one hour from the Kentucky border.

Brimstone ATV park is open 365 days and has a trail for every skill level.  There are over 300 miles of OHV trails within the over 19,000 acres of Northeast Tennessee wilderness.

Trails End Campground- Hunstville, TN

Trails End Campground is also located in Huntsville is a great base for accessing the more than 150,000 acres of North Cumberland Wilderness Area with more than 600 miles of multi-use OHV trails for your ATV riding pleasure!  You can leave your campsite and access three different areas of trails 24 hours a day.  However, it is advisable to plan ahead and ensure you have plenty of food and fuel.

Ride Royal Blue Resort- Pioneer, TN

Windrock Park Campground is located on 259 acres with picturesque views of the surrounding mountains.

Facilities include:

  • 100+ primitive camping sites available

Adventure Off Road Park in South Pittsburg, TN is the first Tennessee ATV park on our list not located in Northeast Tennessee.  This ATV park has the closest ATV trails near Nashville, TN.  Adventure Off Road Park is located in the mountains of South Central Tennessee on a 500 acre tract of land with 120+ trails.
