In this RV camping resource guide, I take it to another level on the adventure scale! You know I love RV camping, and you know I love ATV riding, so what could be better than campgrounds with ATV trails in the Appalachian mountains?
For outdoor enthusiasts who love the thrill of riding ATVs, the Appalachian Mountains offer some of the best off-road trails in the country.

Many campgrounds in the region provide easy access to these trails, making it possible to explore the natural beauty of the area while enjoying the excitement of ATV riding.
In this article, we’ll take a look at some of the best campgrounds with ATV trails in the Appalachian Mountains, and what makes them a must-visit destination for any avid ATV rider.
Are ATVs legal in Tennessee?
Yes, ATVs are legal in Tennessee, but there are certain rules and regulations that must be followed when operating them. All off-road vehicles, including ATVs, must be registered with the state and display a valid registration decal in Tennessee.
Additionally, riders must wear a helmet and eye protection (ATV goggles) while operating an ATV, and it is illegal to ride an ATV on public roads or highways.
Tennessee also has age restrictions for ATV riders, with children under the age of 13 requiring a special use permit to ride.

It’s important to familiarize yourself with the state’s rules and regulations before operating an ATV in Tennessee to ensure you’re doing so legally and safely.
