Is Pigeon Forge Crowded In August?

The answer to this question really depends on when in August you plan on visiting. The beginning of the month is usually pretty crowded as people are trying to get in a last-minute summer vacation before school starts back up again.

However, once school starts back up again, towards the end of the month, the crowds start to die down significantly.

So if you’re looking to avoid the crowds, late August is usually your best bet. However, even during the quieter times of year there will always be a decent amount of tourists in both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge as they are both popular tourist destinations.
