What Do you Eat For Breakfast When Camping?

If I’m honest, breakfast is the only meal of the day that I enjoy cooking. There’s something extra special about breakfast when camping in my opinion. For starters, there is cowboy coffee!!

What is cowboy coffee, you ask? Oh, pull up a chair, grab a cup, and let me tell you all about cowboy coffee.

I must have been camping for nearly ten years before Kent Rollins introduced me to the fine art of cowboy coffee. Now, I wouldn’t drink coffee on the campground any other way. You can make it in the camper over your gas stove or out over the open flame. It takes a few more minutes and a little more patience to make it, but it is one of the best outdoor camping breakfast ideas I have ever encountered.

Rather than tell you about it, I’ll let Kent show you. It’s super easy to make.

Now that we have that out of the way, here’s what else I love to eat for breakfast when camping.

Pancakes and Bacon!! Yep, that’s it. What do I eat for camping breakfast?

Cowboy coffee….

Pancakes….

and….BACON!!
