In case you don’t know, a dry county is a county within the United States that prohibits the sale of alcoholic beverages by the local government. Dry towns are also places where alcohol sales are illegal.
Townsend is considered moist (Alcohol and alcoholic beverages are allowed for sale in specific jurisdictions) and not dry.

The sale of packaged liquor is prohibited in Townsend, but the sale of packaged beer and wine is allowed in grocery stores, gas stations, and liquor stores from 6:00 a.m. to midnight on Monday through Saturday (subject to variation by local ordinance).
On-premises(bars & restaurants) service of beer and wine is also permitted between these hours.
