Romantic RV Camping Ideas
RV camping is the perfect opportunity to show your love and appreciation to your partner! All you need are a few romantic tricks on the bag to spice things up. With that, here are some romantic RV camping ideas you should definitely try.
Just like when choosing a restaurant for a special date night, picking the right camping spot/campground can make or break your romantic camping plans.
It’s best to pick a spot where it’s private, away from the crowd. Make it more romantic by choosing an RV campground in the mountains for some breathtaking scenery, or near the waters.

You don’t always have to spend money to have a romantic time with your special someone. Gazing up at the night sky full of stars can be one of the most romantic things you can do when RV camping.
All you need is a blanket to lay down or share a hammock then gaze upon the starry sky. You can also bring a telescope if you have one for a close look at the stars.

Sitting around a campfire with your special someone can be one of the simplest and most romantic things you can do together when RV camping. It’s just the perfect setup to share some stories and connect more.
And if you want to get extra closer, why not get a loveseat camping chair that is perfect for couples?
You can also play some music to set the mood and cook up some smores as you share stories around the campfire.
Cooking camping meals together can be romantic and a great bonding experience too! What is great is that the menu is totally up to you, cook some of your favorite camping meal classics or perhaps cook something you’ve never tried before. Read more to check out some romantic camping dinner recipes.
If you’re both not good at cooking, make-ahead camping meals are a great idea. Whether you’re bumping elbows in your RV kitchen or cooking on an open fire, cooking together is definitely a romantic RV camping idea that you should try.

Sleeping bags are one of those things you shouldn’t forget when camping. When the sun finally sets and when the weather cooperates, you can share a sleeping bag and cuddle under the starry night.
Being able to explore the great outdoors is one of the best things about RV living. Traveling to new destinations means trying everything for the first time as a couple.
You can explore historic sights, museums, and local attractions, go shopping and end the day with a dinner date at a nice romantic restaurant.
You can also surprise your partner by sneaking up your partner’s bucket list or favorite destination into your RV camping plans.
Hiking is such a fun activity to do on your own but is even better when shared with your special someone.
Explore the wilderness, take photos of scenic spots, view some local wildlife, and do it all with your favorite person near you.
Boating is another romantic idea, that’s why it’s a great idea to go camping near the water. Most campgrounds near bodies of water have boat rentals, so make sure to check on that when planning your RV trip.
Tubing, kayaking, and canoeing can also be romantic activities, as you work hand in hand to traverse the waters.

Wrap some string lights to trees or hang them on the awning and instantly create a romantic atmosphere.
You can also hang them inside your tents to make them more cozy and romantic. There are a lot of battery-operated string lights on the market so you don’t have to worry about where to plug.
Watching the sunset is easily the most inspiring and romantic activity for couples. There’s something about sunsets that drive romantic feelings in people.
Just like love, sunsets are breathtakingly beautiful, make you speechless, and seem to slow down time when looking at them.
Mountain tops and beaches are some of the best locations to catch the sunset.

I've actually always wanted to go camping with JUST my hubby and it's still on the bucket list, if I'm honest. I am quite certain it would be a much different experience than with 3 kids and a dog. LOL

Great tips and ideas! We have a teardrop camper with 2 tents that attach to the side and over the kitchen area (in the back). We love camping. Looking forward to spring weather! Carol www.scribblingboomer.com
