However, unlike the early Spring dates, the temperatures are rising, but the sweltering humidity hasn’t made its debut.

- Grand National F-100 Ford Show (May 14-16, 2026)- The country's largest classic Ford truck show. Different Ford trucks from 1996 and older will be showcased along with an awards banquet and food vendors.
As spring flowers reach their peak throughout the Smokies, guests are invited to Dollywood’s Flower & Food Festival, which starts blooming from Apr 18 -through Jun 7, 2026.
Almost half a million flowers are displayed across the theme park, and giant floral sculptures are displayed, with unique scenes featuring animals and even a depiction of Dolly’s mother quilting the Coat of Many Colors.

What To Wear In Pigeon Forge In May?
Pigeon Forge’s weather in May typically ranges from mild to warm, offering a pleasant springtime climate. The average daytime temperature is around 75°F (24°C), which drops slightly in the evening.
Therefore, it’s advisable to pack lightweight clothing like t-shirts, shorts, and comfortable walking shoes for daytime explorations. Don’t forget a bathing suit if you plan to enjoy water activities. Since evenings can be slightly cool, a light jacket or sweater would be useful.
A hat and sunscreen are also must-haves to protect against the sun. Always keep an umbrella or raincoat handy as May falls during Pigeon Forge’s rainier season.
