Take an exhilarating ride down Virginia’s largest tubing park, the Plunge, offered by Wintergreen Resort. This massive tubing park is as high as a ten-story building and is longer than three football fields. The ride downhill is always an exciting experience for everyone, with speeds reaching up to 30 mph. It’s clear why most guests label it as the “scream machine”. You can ride over and over again thanks to a conveyor lift that will bring you and your tubes back to the top of the hill.
Tubing in the park is recommended for 6 y/o and up, and must be 42 inches or taller to ride The Plunge. Only one person is allowed per tube, but you can hook it up with another for a group ride downhill.

Surrounded by the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, Bryce Resort is one of the best places for snow tubing in Virginia that is perfect for the whole family. Bryce resort offers three 800-foot tubing lanes where riders can experience an exciting and thrilling ride downhill. They also have a conveyor belt that will bring you back to the top but expect you to do some walking.
Each session will run for 1 hour and 30 minutes, and you can purchase tickets on their official website. In light of the Covid -19 situation, there are some changes to their policies wherein sessions start every half hour, and a max of 40 tickets will be sold per half hour for 90-minute sessions to allow for social distancing. For anyone over the age of 5 is required to wear a mask at all times.
1822 Resort Drive Massanutten, VA
Massanutten Resort is another great spot for snow tubing in Virginia, where visitors can experience an adrenaline-pumping ride downhill. This popular resort features up to 16 tubing lanes that are 900’ in length with a 120’ drop-off. They also feature 2 conveyor belts, so you won’t have to wait that long during the resort’s busiest days.
They also have a new offering which is the Northern Lights Snow Tubing! It’s a different night riding experience where you zoom down the lanes surrounded by fun neon lights and lively music. Add fun by getting colorful glow sticks at the resort’s General Store.
Snow tubing at Massanutten resort is offered for 90 min. sessions only and must be at least 36 inches tall to tube.
